Description

Every dead-end track needs an end. The set contains a frame buffer stop with buffer beam, two buffers and diagonal struts, and a buffer stop made of stacked sleepers. Both stand freely at the track end and are not tied to any rail profile.

  • Frame buffer stop with two buffers at standard-gauge buffer spacing and 45° struts (prints without supports).
  • Sleeper buffer stop of stacked sleepers with a timber buffer beam.
  • Free-standing, suits any track; no lettering.

In the set per scale:

  • N: frame buffer stop 15 mm wide, beam top 8.1 mm, buffer spacing 10.9 mm; sleeper buffer stop 16.2 × 11.2 × 8.1 mm
  • TT: frame buffer stop 20 mm wide, beam top 10.8 mm, buffer spacing 14.6 mm; sleeper buffer stop 21.7 × 15 × 10.8 mm
  • H0: frame buffer stop 27.6 mm wide, beam top 14.9 mm, buffer spacing 20.1 mm; sleeper buffer stop 29.9 × 20.7 × 14.9 mm

Scales: One variant per scale: N (1:160), TT (1:120) and H0 (1:87). Each variant contains the single parts and a collection plate with all parts of the scale (3 mm apart).

Dimensions: We found no prototype drawing for buffer stops. Width, height, length, buffer height and buffer spacing are chosen in typical model railway style and are therefore an estimate, not true to the prototype. How accurate it turns out depends on your printer, and our part has not been tested on a layout yet. Print the free check gauge first to see in advance whether clearance and distances suit your setup. The foot of the part sits at rail-top level (height offset 0), so it is not tailored to any particular track system. If the rail top of your track sits higher than the baseboard, shim the part by that height.

Material: PLA is enough because the layout stays indoors; PETG works too. 0.4 mm nozzle, ideally 0.12 mm layers, no supports.

Material and temperature

PLA is enough for gauges and structural parts (0.4 mm nozzle). For small details use resin or a 0.2 mm nozzle. With resin: wear gloves, follow the resin manufacturer's instructions and cure the parts fully.

Print orientation: Standing.

FAQ

Which material should I use for this model railway accessory?

Recommended: PLA (alternatively PETG). PLA is enough for gauges and structural parts (0.4 mm nozzle). For small details use resin or a 0.2 mm nozzle. With resin: wear gloves, follow the resin manufacturer's instructions and cure the parts fully.

Do I receive a printed part?

No. You get the print files and print the part yourself or use a print service. You get the download link right after payment.

Do the buffers match my vehicles?

The buffer height counts from the foot = rail top. If the buffer stop stands on the baseboard, the buffers sit lower by the height of your track; shim it in that case. Measure against a wagon first.

Does it suit my track?

The foot of the part sits at rail-top level (height offset 0), so it is not tailored to any particular track system. If the rail top of your track sits higher than the baseboard, shim the part by that height. Use the free check gauge to check clearance and edge distance in advance.

Does the part carry current or work?

No. Nothing in this range carries current; detail parts are dummies.
