Pliers stand like books in slots from 15 to 40 mm wide, no particular model.
In a case, pliers often lie on top of each other. In the rack they stand on edge side by side, each in a slot that suits its thickness. There is no dimensional standard for pliers; the slots are a series of widths.
Variants and installation: Systainer³ M (from above, one long side at the front): front: left A (15–30 mm), right B (35–40 mm); back: left B (35–40 mm), right A (15–30 mm). The back row is the same file turned by 180°; the two R 15 corners of every tile face the case wall. Systainer³ L (from above, one long side at the front): front: left A (15–30 mm), middle B (35–40 mm), right A (15–30 mm); back: left B (35–40 mm), middle A (15–30 mm), right B (35–40 mm). The back row is the same file turned by 180°; the two R 15 corners of every tile face the case wall.
Two parts per tile: tray and base ring. The tray stands loose in the ring; the ring carries the rim, the chamfer and the R 15 corners and keeps the tray floor 5.5 mm above the case floor. A floor over a hollow underside could not be printed in one piece without supports.
Dimensions: Inside dimensions taken from the TANOS price list 2026; our part has not been tested in the case yet. Systainer³ M: 2 × 2 tiles of 193.6 × 136.3 mm (inside 389.5 × 275 mm), 2 connector bars; Systainer³ L: 3 × 2 tiles of 166.3 × 136.4 mm (inside 501.5 × 275.2 mm), 3 connector bars. The slot widths are a series, not a standard (estimate). The corner radius, floor profile (floor cross, radius between floor and wall) and wall draft of the cases are not published. That is why we relieve generously: R 15 in the case corner, a 4 mm chamfer at the bottom edge, a hollow underside with a rim (a floor cross up to 5 mm high stays clear) and 1.0 mm clearance per side to the case, 0.3 mm between tiles. Print the free fit sample set first: it shows on your own case whether corner, floor edge and clearance work.
Material: PETG recommended, because a tool case quickly ends up in a car or in the sun. PLA works too, but it deforms in a hot car or in the sun.
Brands: Made to fit Systainer³/Sortainer³, not an accessory by TANOS or Festool, no affiliation with them. No logos and no lettering on the parts.
If a plier is too thick for its slot, use the next wider one.
