Description

For patch notes, a tutorial on your phone or a tablet with the manual: the side shelf plugs into our side wedge with two square tongues and sits next to the end of the case, at the same tilt as the case. It does not hold on to the case and does not touch it; the tongues run underneath the end of the case. Only together with our tilt stands for the RackBrute 3U or 6U (wedges with two square holes).

  • Surface 90 × 150 mm with a 10 mm lip at the front; a phone lies fully on it, a tablet overhangs to the side.
  • Plugged in, not clamped: two 8 × 8 mm tongues in the holes of the wedge (0.2 mm clearance per side), no tools, no screws.
  • Left or right: two mirror-image files; one shelf fits 3U and 6U.
  • No supports: printed standing on its outer edge, the tongues grow straight up.

Variants: One pair (left and right) per tilt: 15°, 25° and 35°, matching the angle of your stand. The tongues sit at a different place in the wedge for each angle.

Dimensions: Dimensions taken from Arturia RackBrute 3U (maker's page) and Arturia RackBrute 6U (maker's page); our part has not been tested on a case yet. The shelf needs only the width of the case: the wedge sits 8 mm in from the end of the case, as with the stand; the tongues bridge this gap and reach through the whole wedge (32 mm). As with the stand, the assignment of the three outer dimensions to width, depth and height is our estimate. Please measure the outer dimensions of your own case before printing; the manufacturer only gives rounded numbers. Print the free fit gauge first: it shows whether hole pattern, screws and your printer work together.

Material: PETG, or ASA. No PLA: the case presses on the wedges all the time, and PLA creeps under constant load, even more so in warm rooms.

Brands: Fits Arturia RackBrute; not an accessory by the manufacturers, no affiliation with them. No logos and no lettering on the parts.

Clearance 0.2 mm per side between tongue and wedge; if it is too tight, sand the tongues lightly.

Print stands and shelf in PETG (ASA works too): a case with modules weighs several kilos, and PLA slowly gives way under constant load. Print panels and gauge in PLA (PETG works too). Do not put a heat source right next to them, such as a radiator, and do not leave the parts in the sun behind glass.

Printing

  1. PETG (or ASA), 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.2 mm layers, 3 walls, 15 % gyroid, no supports.
  2. Standing on its outer edge, as the file is laid out; the tongues point up.

Installation

  1. Set up the stand as usual, with the wedge on the shelf side 8 mm in from the end of the case.
  2. Push the tongues from the outside, underneath the end of the case, into the holes of the wedge until the shelf stands 2 mm from the case.

Do I receive a printed part?

No. You get the print files and print the part yourself or use a print service. You get the download link right after payment.

Does the shelf fit other stands or the case itself?

No. It only plugs into the holes of our side wedges and has no hold on the case; that way we need no dimensions of handle, end cap or rim.

Where does the wedge have to sit?

On the shelf side 8 mm in from the end of the case, as in the pictures. If it sits further in, the tongues engage less deeply; keep it within 20 mm.

Does it fit my 25° stand?

Take the shelf with the same angle as your stand; the tongues sit at a different place for each angle.

Have you printed the part and tested it on a case?

Not yet. The dimensions come from the sources named; the part has not been printed or tested on a case yet. That is why you should print the free fit gauge first.
