Description

Before you print a panel or a stand, this gauge shows in a few minutes whether the dimensions suit your case and your printer. All four parts sit on one print plate.

  • 3U piece, 8 HP: 40.3 × 128.5 mm (Doepfer actual width), four slots Ø 3.2 × 4.6 mm at 7.5 and 32.9 mm from the left, 3 mm from the top and bottom edge. You screw it in like a module and see whether hole pattern, screws and neighbour panels fit.
  • 1U in Intellijel format: 40.3 × 39.65 mm, slots 3 mm from the edge (hole spacing 33.65 mm).
  • 1U tile in Pulp Logic format, 6 HP: 30.23 × 43.18 mm, four holes Ø 3.2 mm for M2.5. The two 1U formats differ in height and are not interchangeable.
  • Tolerance comb: three slots for a 2 mm panel with +0.2, +0.4 and +0.6 mm (one, two, three dots). Push the edge of a real module panel in: the narrowest slot it enters without force shows how much your printer closes up inner dimensions.

Dimensions: Dimensions taken from Doepfer A-100, Construction Details, Doepfer hole drawing, Intellijel 1U Technical Specifications and Pulp Logic, About 1U Tiles; our part has not been tested on a case yet. The Pulp Logic tile is 30.23 mm wide, the middle of the maker's tolerance (30.48 mm, +0/−0.51). Estimated are the slot length (our own rule; it covers the hole offsets 7.45, 7.5 and 7.62 mm that are in use) and the horizontal spacing of the Intellijel tile (not dimensioned there, assumed as for 3U). How accurate the gauge turns out depends on your printer; that is what the comb is for.

Material: PLA is enough, PETG works too: the parts carry hardly any load and do not get hot in the case. Do not leave them in the sun or a hot car, PLA softens from about 55 °C.

Brands: Doepfer, Intellijel and Pulp Logic are named only as the dimension source or format name; not an accessory by the manufacturers, no affiliation with them. No logos and no lettering on the parts.

Slots ± 0.7 mm horizontally; Pulp Logic tile in the middle of the tolerance.

Material and temperature

Print stands and shelf in PETG (ASA works too): a case with modules weighs several kilos, and PLA slowly gives way under constant load. Print panels and gauge in PLA (PETG works too). Do not put a heat source right next to them, such as a radiator, and do not leave the parts in the sun behind glass.

Print orientation: Flat, front face down, as the plate is laid out.

Safety notice

The part has no electronics and carries no current. Switch the case off before fitting or removing panels. Not a toy and not an electrical part: the stands only carry the case on the desk (guide value up to 5 kg), the shelf 0.5 kg at most; neither is a tested load rating. None of it carries current.

Not an original part. No affiliation with the manufacturers named; brand and model names only indicate fitment.

What's included

You get one ZIP with:

  • STL – print-ready mesh
  • 3MF – with print profile
  • STEP – editable in CAD
  • Tolerance test ring

You will also need

  • 4 × M3 screw from your case (usually M3×6, pan head), for 3U and Intellijel 1U
  • 4 × M2.5 screw, only for the Pulp Logic tile

Printing

  1. PLA (or PETG), 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.2 mm layers, 2 walls, 15 % infill, no supports.
  2. All parts lie flat, front face down; the bottom edges have a 0.4 mm chamfer against elephant's foot.

Installation

  1. Switch the case off. Screw the 3U piece to a free spot on the rails with M3 screws, ideally right next to a module.
  2. Check: does it sit between the neighbours without jamming, do the slots meet the threads, does it lie flat? With a 1U row, check the matching tile the same way.
  3. Tolerance comb: push the edge of a module panel into the slots and note which one fits.

FAQ

Which material should I use for this eurorack accessory?

Recommended: PLA (alternatively PETG).

Do I receive a printed part?

No. You get the print files and print the part yourself or use a print service. We email you the download link.

The 3U piece jams between my modules. What now?

Like Doepfer's, our panels are about 0.3 mm narrower than the grid. If it still jams, your printer prints outer dimensions too large (over-extrusion or elephant's foot). Calibrate the flow or scale the panels to 99.5 % in width.

Which 1U format does my case use?

Intellijel 1U panels are 39.65 mm tall, Pulp Logic tiles 43.18 mm. If your case manual does not say, hold both tiles against the 1U row: only one fits.

Have you printed the part and tested it on a case?

Not yet. The dimensions come from the sources named; the gauge has not been printed or tested on a case yet. That is exactly what it is for: it is the first part you print, and it shows whether your case and printer suit our dimensions.

Which material?

PLA is enough, PETG works too: the parts carry hardly any load and do not get hot in the case. Do not leave them in the sun or a hot car, PLA softens from about 55 °C.

Does the part carry current?

The part has no electronics and carries no current. We deliberately do not offer bus boards, power supplies or device adapters with electronics.
