Description

The pod drops into the cupholder and holds a 52 mm gauge, tilted 45° toward the driver. Nothing on the car is drilled or modified.

  • Six crush ribs absorb cupholder tolerances.
  • A pedestal supports the cup across its full width and keeps heavy gauges steady.
  • The cable exits at the back above the cupholder rim.
  • An M3 set screw secures the gauge.
  • The insert is hollow with a self-supporting cone roof: less filament, no supports.

Pick the variant that matches your cupholder's inner diameter (70, 75, 80 or 85 mm). The bore is 52.79 mm, slightly larger than the nominal 52.39 mm; a tolerance test ring is included.

Crush ribs absorb ±0.5 mm; bore +0.4 mm, verify with the test ring.

Material and temperature

Location out of direct sun: PETG works, ASA as well. Still no PLA – a parked car gets very hot inside.

Print orientation: Insert down on the bed, cup pointing up.

Safety notice

Use in the cupholder only. The gauge must not cover controls or reach into an airbag zone. Install at your own risk. Never mount in an airbag deployment zone, never cover controls, never restrict the view. Follow the material and temperature advice. Add-ons may affect the type approval of the vehicle (§ 19 StVZO in Germany); keep edges in the head and knee area rounded (UN Regulation No. 21).

Not an original part. No affiliation with the vehicle manufacturers named; make and model names only indicate fitment.

You will also need

  • 1 × M3 set screw or self-tapping M3 screw, 8–10 mm

Printing

  1. Print the tolerance test ring first and test-fit the gauge. If +0.4 mm does not fit, adjust the bore in the STEP file.
  2. Print in PETG or ASA, 0.2 mm layers, 4 walls, 20 % infill, no supports. No PLA.

Installation

  1. Slide the gauge in from the front until the bezel rests on the rim; route the cable out the back.
  2. Tighten the M3 set screw hand-tight.
  3. Press the pod into the cupholder and turn it toward the driver.

FAQ

Which material should I use for this gauge pod?

Recommended: PETG (alternatively ASA, ABS). Location out of direct sun: PETG works, ASA as well. Still no PLA – a parked car gets very hot inside.

Do I receive a printed part?

No. You get the print files and print the part yourself or use a print service. We email you the download link.

Does a 60 mm gauge fit?

Yes, in the “60 mm” variants: 60.4 mm bore for gauges with a 60 mm housing (e.g. Defi 60); the front ring rests on the cup rim. Gauges with a 52 mm housing take the 52 mm variant.
