Peugeot 306 (1993–2002) / GTI-6 / S16: 52 mm gauge pod for the console cubby – no drilling

Description

For the Peugeot 306 (1993–2002), including the GTI-6, S16 and Rallye: the pod plugs into the centre console cubby that otherwise holds the rear window or seat heating switches and holds one 52 mm gauge, e.g. oil temperature on the GTI-6.

• A U-shaped foot with crush ribs clamps in the well, the base plate rests on top. Nothing is drilled.
• Tilt 30, 45 or 60° toward the driver.
• The cable runs through the hollow stand and the base plate down into the well.
• Only for cars where the cubby is empty (no rear electric windows or seat heating).
• Prints without supports.

File the crush ribs if needed; too loose: felt tape on the foot. Check the +0.4 mm bore with the test ring.

Material and temperature

Shaded location: PETG is sufficient, ASA is the more robust choice. PLA is unsuitable in a car – it starts to soften at about 55–60 °C.

Print orientation: Front face on the bed, cup pointing up; the foot lies on the bed as well.

Safety notice

The pod sits in the centre console clear of the airbag zones. It must not obstruct the gear lever, handbrake or cup holder – check in every gear. Install at your own risk. Never mount in an airbag deployment zone, never cover controls, never restrict the view. Follow the material and temperature advice. Add-ons may affect the type approval of the vehicle (§ 19 StVZO in Germany); keep edges in the head and knee area rounded (UN Regulation No. 21).

You will also need

• 1 × M3 set screw or self-tapping M3 screw, 8–10 mm

Printing

1. Print the tolerance test ring first and test-fit the gauge.
2. Print in ASA, ABS or PETG, 0.2 mm layers, 4 walls, 20 % infill, no supports. No PLA.

Installation

1. Remove the cubby cover or liner.
2. Feed the cable from the top through the stand and base plate into the well, insert the gauge, tighten the set screw hand-tight.
3. Press the pod into the well with the gauge facing the driver.
