Fits Land Rover Range Rover Classic (1970–1996)
Range Rover Classic: 52 mm gauge pod in place of the dash-top coin tray – no drilling
Replaces the dash-top coin tray of a Range Rover Classic, bolted to the factory holes, with one 52 mm gauge and two small bins.
Description
For the Range Rover Classic (1970–1996): the part replaces the coin tray on top of the dashboard and holds one 52 mm gauge, e.g. oil temperature, transmission temperature or boost on the Tdi.
- Bolted to the four factory holes with the factory countersunk screws. Nothing is drilled, the tray can go back at any time.
- The gauge stands at 45° tilt and is turned 15° toward the driver: variants for right-hand and left-hand drive.
- Two bins stay on the left and right for small items.
- Behind the gauge the centre is open: the alarm LED stays visible.
- Prints without supports.
Fit: footprint and hole pattern taken from a freely published replacement tray, our part is not yet tested in a car.
Open up the holes with a 4.5 mm drill if needed. Check the +0.4 mm bore with the test ring.

Material and temperature
Location in direct sun: print in ASA or ABS only. A dashboard reaches about 69 °C on average after one hour in the sun, with peaks up to 89 °C. ASA only softens at around 108 °C and is UV resistant. PETG and PLA will warp here.
Print orientation: Underside on the bed, cup pointing up at an angle.
Safety notice
The tray sits top centre on the dashboard, clear of the steering wheel, knee and A-pillar zones. The gauge stands about 6 cm tall and must not disturb the view. Use ASA: the dash top gets hot in the sun. Install at your own risk. Never mount in an airbag deployment zone, never cover controls, never restrict the view. Follow the material and temperature advice. Add-ons may affect the type approval of the vehicle (§ 19 StVZO in Germany); keep edges in the head and knee area rounded (UN Regulation No. 21).
Not an original part. No affiliation with the vehicle manufacturers named; make and model names only indicate fitment.
Footprint 212 × 123 mm and hole pattern taken from Printables 1172663 (CC BY-NC, dimensions only), our part not yet tested in a car; reference from a 1994 car. Whether early years share the tray is not sourced. Airbags on the Classic not explicitly sourced; the tray sits top centre, clear of the wheel, knee and A-pillar zones.

FAQ
Which material should I use for this gauge pod?
Recommended: ASA (alternatively ABS, PETG). Location in direct sun: print in ASA or ABS only. A dashboard reaches about 69 °C on average after one hour in the sun, with peaks up to 89 °C. ASA only softens at around 108 °C and is UV resistant. PETG and PLA will warp here.
Do 60 mm gauges fit?
Only if the body is 52 mm and just the bezel is larger. The bezel then rests on the front. This pod is not made for gauges with a 60 mm body. If unsure, print the included tolerance test ring.
Do I receive a printed part?
No. You get the print files and print the part yourself or use a print service. You get the download link right after payment.
Do I need new screws?
No, the four factory countersunk screws of the coin tray fit the countersinks.
Where does the cable go?
Out of the hollow stand backward into the open centre and on under the tray; where it enters the dashboard depends on the car.
