Description

For the Ford Maverick (2022–2024): the block plugs into the cubby right of the touchscreen and holds one 52 mm gauge, e.g. transmission temperature for towing, boost on the 2.0 EcoBoost or a voltmeter.

  • A plug frame with crush ribs clamps in the niche. Nothing is drilled, the rubber mat can go back.
  • The gauge sits about 30 mm deep in the niche; the block stands out only 25 mm.
  • The block is only as wide as the opening plus 1.25 mm per side: display, hazard button and tune knob stay free.
  • The cable runs above the gauge inside the niche to the front and through the hole at the top of the block.
  • Prints face-down on the bed: smooth visible side, no supports.

The niche is 55.5 mm wide at the front and narrows toward the back, so the gauge does not sit fully inside. Fit: dimensions taken from a freely published cubby drawer, our part is not yet tested in a car.

File the crush ribs if needed; too loose: felt tape on the side walls. Check the +0.4 mm bore with the test ring.

Material and temperature

Shaded location: PETG is sufficient, ASA is the more robust choice. PLA is unsuitable in a car – it starts to soften at about 55–60 °C.

Print orientation: Face (visible side) down on the bed, plug frame pointing up.

Guide: PETG or ASA in a car?

Safety notice

The block sits centrally beside the display, clear of the airbag doors, and stands out about 2.5 cm. Use ASA: the upper dashboard gets hot in the sun. Check it is secure before driving. Install at your own risk. Never mount in an airbag deployment zone, never cover controls, never restrict the view. Follow the material and temperature advice. Add-ons may affect the type approval of the vehicle (§ 19 StVZO in Germany); keep edges in the head and knee area rounded (UN Regulation No. 21).

Not an original part. No affiliation with the vehicle manufacturers named; make and model names only indicate fitment.

Niche dimensions taken from Printables 538351 (CC BY, dimensions only), our part not yet tested in a car. The block only covers the niche (1.25 mm rim per side); the display and the controls below stay free. The cubby sits centrally beside the display, not on the passenger airbag door and not in the knee zone.

FAQ

Which material should I use for this gauge pod?

Recommended: ASA (alternatively ABS, PETG). Shaded location: PETG is sufficient, ASA is the more robust choice. PLA is unsuitable in a car – it starts to soften at about 55–60 °C.

Do I receive a printed part?

No. You get the print files and print the part yourself or use a print service. You get the download link right after payment.

Does the block cover the display?

No. It is only 1.25 mm wider than the niche per side and rests on its frame.

Does a 60 mm gauge fit?

No, the block would then be much wider than the niche.
