Description

When a gauge sticks out of the back of its cup, terminals and wires show. The cap pushes onto the back of the cup and covers everything neatly.

  • 12 mm of space behind the cup end for plugs and terminals.
  • A stop inside keeps the spacing, eight crush ribs hold the cap without glue.
  • A cable hole (Ø 9 mm) with a 4 mm slot to the edge: the cap slides onto an already wired gauge.
  • Fits the pods from our shop (58.8 / 61 mm) and other cups Ø 57–63 mm.
  • Prints lid-down on the bed, no supports.

Crush ribs absorb ±0.4 mm.

Material and temperature

Shaded location: PETG is sufficient, ASA is the more robust choice. PLA is unsuitable in a car – it starts to soften at about 55–60 °C.

Print orientation: Lid down on the bed, sleeve pointing up.

Printing

  1. Print in PETG or ASA, 0.2 mm layers, 3 walls, 15 % infill, no supports. No PLA.

Installation

  1. Measure the outer diameter at the back of the cup and print the matching variant.
  2. Slide the cable through the slot into the hole, push the cap onto the cup, turn the slot downward.

Which material should I use for this trim part / clip?

Recommended: PETG (alternatively ASA, ABS). Shaded location: PETG is sufficient, ASA is the more robust choice. PLA is unsuitable in a car – it starts to soften at about 55–60 °C.

Do 60 mm gauges fit?

Only if the body is 52 mm and just the bezel is larger. The bezel then rests on the front. This pod is not made for gauges with a 60 mm body. If unsure, print the included tolerance test ring.

Do I receive a printed part?

No. You get the print files and print the part yourself or use a print service. You get the download link right after payment.
