Description

For the Toyota FJ Cruiser (2007–2014): large bottles do not fit the factory cup holder because it narrows toward the bottom. The adapter plugs into the hole with a spigot and has a cup with 95 mm inner Ø on top for bottles with a 90–92 mm base, e.g. 32 oz bottles.

  • The spigot fills the hole, crush ribs take up tolerances. Measured for the front holder behind the selector lever.
  • The large bottle stands on a ring; small cups still drop further into the spigot.
  • A finger notch in the cup wall helps to take the bottle out.
  • Nothing is drilled; the adapter simply pulls out.
  • Prints without supports.

Fit: hole dimensions taken from a freely published cup holder insert, our part is not yet tested in a car.

Too tight: file the crush ribs lightly. Too loose: felt tape around the spigot.

Location out of direct sun: PETG works, ASA as well. Still no PLA – a parked car gets very hot inside.

Safety notice

The bottle stands about 6 cm higher than in the factory cup holder. Check that the selector lever and nearby controls stay clear in every position. No hot drinks in open cups. Install at your own risk. Never mount in an airbag deployment zone, never cover controls, never restrict the view. Follow the material and temperature advice. Add-ons may affect the type approval of the vehicle (§ 19 StVZO in Germany); keep edges in the head and knee area rounded (UN Regulation No. 21).

Printing

  1. Print in PETG or ASA, 0.2 mm layers, 3 walls, 15 % infill, no supports. No PLA.

Installation

  1. Take the rubber liner out of the cup holder.
  2. Press the adapter straight in until it sits on the rim; turn the finger notch where you want it.
